Why this matters

The idea behind it

Communication starts before words. Your child knows what they want - they just don't have the sounds yet. The frustration on both sides is real.

I Can Ask is a bilingual Velcro book of foods your child already knows: roti, dal, banana, chai, dosa. Your child picks a card and hands it to you. You give them what the card shows. That hand-over is their first functional act of communication - and the bridge to the words that follow.

Designed with our OT panel and aligned with PECS protocols. Hindi and English on every card. Industrial-grade Velcro built for multiple attach-detaches.

Your first three weeks

How to use it at home

Week 1

Start with 3 favourites

Place 3 cards your child already loves on the choose page. At meal time, hold up the strip. Wait. If they don't pick, gently guide their hand to a card and give the food immediately. Speed matters — the card must get them the food.

Week 2

Add the words

Same routine, but now name the card as they hand it over. "Roti! You want roti!" Don't ask them to repeat. Don't say "use your words." Just name it and give it. Five tries a day, not fifty.

Week 3

Expand the choices

Add 2–3 new cards. Move the book to where requesting happens most — kitchen counter, dining table. When they walk to the book on their own and bring you a card, you have a functional requester.

The NeuroBuddy promise

Every product is designed with occupational therapists

Our clinical panel works with Indian children every day. Every product is reviewed for safety, developmental fit, and how well it works in a real home — not just a clinic. If your child's OT recommends something different, listen to them first. We're a tool, not a substitute for therapy.
